Pennsylvania Badminton Association Volunteer Internship
Smashville is a community-oriented badminton facility located in Pottstown, PA run by the Pennsylvania Badminton Association with programming for both juniors and adults. We are pleased to offer an Internship opportunity for Sports Management students at either our Pottstown or King of Prussia locations, or both!
We currently serve over 600 badminton players (kids & adults), who utilize Smashville for ongoing badminton club play, training, elite coaching and tournament competition.
Smashville has seen over 10,000 player sign-ins since commencing operations on E. High St. in 2015! In conjunction with the PA Badminton Assoc, Smashvile has conducted clinics for over 500 kids at Pottstown High School and has provided special trainings in badminton for Pottstown High School and Middle School Physical Education Teachers. Smashville conducts Junior camps and periodically hosts US Olympic team players as guest coaches. In addition to badminton play, Smashville has become a social hub for members of the local Indian and Filipino communities, who book evenings at the facility for food, fun and exercise events.

“Working at Smashville was a great experience. I got to learn a lot of new things, from making sure everyone checked in properly and followed the rules for the pandemic, to be able to play, and to help run a major tournament. Everyone was so welcoming and made sure I fit in and was having a good time.”
