PA State Badminton Championships 2025

PA STATES Regulations 2025 Sat May 31 – Sunday June 1st.

Location: Club 28 Coatesville.

New Schedule – brackets will complete in the same day! Check schedule for day and time of your bracket. You can also click your name under “Players” for your own personalized schedule.

FEES:
FEE MUST ACCOMPANY ENTRY or entry will NOT be valid.

Tourney fee: $75. covers up to 2 events. Add $25. for a 3rd event. Special permission must be granted for a 4th event. If permission is granted, the 4th event is also $25. additional.

Additional contributions are optional and encouraged.

PAYMENT is DUE upon ENTRY SUBMISSION!

Tournament Director reserves the option to modify draws and times in the best interest of the tournament.

WAIVER:
Completing registration constitutes agreement to waive all liability for injury or any damages.
You agree to allow photos and video for promo purposes.

REQUEST PARTNERS
All “request partner” entries will be reviewed following registration deadline.
We will attempt to pair as many as we can, however we cannot guarantee that a partner request will be filled.
We also cannot guarantee a congenial match as far as player temperament or level of skill.

DEADLINE
Entries may not be accepted after the deadline pending tournament acceptability and $5. late fee.

T-SHIRTS awarded to first 25 registered and paid entrants.

SCORING
All Round Robin Group play (up to 4 teams): 1 game to 25
All Round Robin Group play (over 4 teams): 1 game to 21

Elimination Playoffs: 1 game to 25

Finals: WBF – Rally scoring 2 out of 3 games to 21 (win by 2)

In Round Robin and Pool Play WBF rules:

16. RANKING IN TOURNAMENTS PLAYED UNDER THE POOL SYSTEM OR IN GROUPS 16.1 The ranking in tournaments played under the pool system or in groups shall be determined in accordance with the Regulations 16.2 to 16.3. 16.2 In case of Individual Championships:
16.2.1 Ranking in individual championships will be established by the number of matches won. 16.2.2 If two players / pairs have won the same number of matches, the winner of the match between them will be ranked higher.
16.2.3 If three or more players / pairs have won the same number of matches, ranking will be established by the difference between total games won and total games lost, with greater difference ranked higher.
16.2.3.1 If this still leaves two players / pairs equal, the winner of the match between them will be ranked higher.
16.2.4 If three or more players / pairs have won the same number of matches and are equal in the difference between total games won and total games lost, ranking will be established by the difference between total points won and total points lost, with greater difference ranked higher.
16.2.4.1 If this still leaves two players / pairs equal, the winner of the match between them will be ranked higher.
16.2.4.2 If three or more players / pairs are still equal, then ranking will be established by drawing lots.
16.2.5 If illness, injury, disqualification or other unavoidable hindrance prevents a player / pair completing all the pool matches, all the results of that player / pair shall be deleted. Retiring during a match shall be considered to be not completing all pool matches.
16.2.6 A player / pair is entitled to prizes according to results actually obtained before any withdrawal due to injury.
