Completing registration constitutes agreement to waive all liability for injury or any damages.

REQUEST PARTNERS:
All “request partner” entries will be reviewed following registration deadline.
We will attempt to pair as many as we can, however we cannot guarantee that a partner request will be filled.
We also cannot guarantee a congenial match as far as player temperament or level of skill.
ALL players must register – partners must register – Please make sure your partner has entered and paid!

SCORING
WBF – Rally scoring 2 out of 3 games to 21 (win by 2)

Drop-down: 1 game to 25, win by 2.

In Round Robin and Pool Play WBF rules:

16. RANKING IN TOURNAMENTS PLAYED UNDER THE POOL SYSTEM OR IN GROUPS

1. 16.1  The ranking in tournaments played under the pool system or in groups shall be determined in accordance with the Regulations 16.2 to 16.3.
2. 16.2  In case of Individual Championships:
   1. 16.2.1  Ranking in individual championships will be established by the number of matches won.
   2. 16.2.2  If two players / pairs have won the same number of matches, the winner of the match between them will be ranked higher.
   3. 16.2.3  If three or more players / pairs have won the same number of matches, ranking will be established by the difference between total games won and total games lost, with greater difference ranked higher.

PA States 2016

This is for B, C and D level players.  In doubles, an “A” player may partner with a C or D player in the B level Doubles event.  Rookie class is “D” level.  Half-court singles tourney plays on the half court out to the doubles line.  Half-court match is one game to 25 switch sides at 13.  All Round Robin Doubles games are 2 games to 21 no set. However brackets with more than 5 teams will play 2 games to 15 because of the large number of games to be played.

TROPHIES for Winners and Finalists in ALL brackets!  We’ve lowered the bar – large trophies for Rookie class!  Yes, we do have some overhead obstructions – first “truss” per game per player is a let and the point is re-played, following the first let, it is a fault for that player.  HOWEVER we have a PRIZE for the most truss faults!!

Floyd helps PA Badminton!

Dear friends, many of you know that Floyd has volunteered and worked hard for the Smashville badminton center putting up drywall on the high ceiling, painting walls, laying in floor boards, cleaning up awful messes and mopping the courts. He has no home and is aiming for a small room in Pottstown and is trying to raise at least 250. His proposal is to work off any of your contributions (which are tax deductible ) – win-win for him and for Smashville! He is also learning racquet stringing and has been out on the courts with a number of you as well!
